Get Involved

The primary goal of Eats on Feets is to connect families with babies in need of human milk with donors who have milk to share. This is a mighty task for an entirely volunteer-run network and your support is vital to our success! Below are some suggestions for how you can be involved.

Get Involved

Support Eats on Feets

  • • Follow your local and other worldwide Facebook Chapters. This is one of the simplest ways anyone can help match recipients with donors: With the click of a button you could be a vital link between a baby and nutritional sustenance!
  • • Follow our Home Page to receive milksharing information in your news feed.
  • • Follow us on Instagram and Pinterest!
  • • Take it a step further and check in occasionally to like, share, and comment on the posts and status updates of our social media accounts. Liking, sharing, and commenting helps raise general awareness which increases the opportunity for donors and recipients to find each other.

Help the Network Grow

  • • Volunteer for your local Eats on Feets Chapter.
  • • Contact us if you wish to create a new chapter for communities that are not already in our network.

Volunteers are an integral part of Eats on Feets. The network would not function without. All of us are volunteers! If you are interested in helping an existing chapter or creating a new chapter, please contact us!

Web Outreach

  • • Share our forum!
  • • Share your success story on your local chapter! Sharing your story provides inspiration and hope, normalizes milksharing, and facilitates the path for future babies to have access to commerce-free human milk.
  • • Consider sending us a blog post about your milksharing experience! Ask your donor or recipient to write theirs as well so both sides of the same process can be highlighted! Sharing these experiences is a wonderful way to show how normal community-based milksharing is.
  • • Share the link to our safety information and our simple 4 Pillars of Safe Breastmilk Sharing.
  • • Share any of the information found on this website and on our Resource for Informed Breastmilk Sharing.

Local Community Outreach

Reaching out within your local community is a powerful way to advocate for babies and their right to accessible and commerce-free human milk!

We have several ways for you to support Eats on Feets:

  • • Use any of our flyers, infographics, images, and cards to print and hand out, mail, or leave on local community boards, in waiting areas at doctor's offices, libraries, etc.
  • • Ask us to host a free, virtual or in person, presentation tailored to your specific group, organization, or community.
  • • Host an Eats on Feets gathering to share, support, and celebrate the donors, recipients, and milksharing supporters in your community.
  • • Send our template letter with your signature and any additional Eats on Feets print-outs to local professionals invested in the health of babies.
  • • Share our press kit with your local media.

Please contact us if you would like to order pre-printed materials!

First Gathering

For the Press

Eats on Feets welcomes media enquiries. Please see our Press Kit for information about our network, its foundation, and its organizational set up. When looking for interviews with donors and/or recipients, please contact the admin of your local Eats on Feets chapter on Facebook. Please email us if you need to speak with a network representative or need further support for your project.

Education and Research

Eats on Feets is dedicated to preserving and presenting the latest research with regards to donor milk, milk banking, and the safety of community-based milksharing. The studies used in our Resource are made available in their full length. Please email us if you have a submission for our database, or any questions, comments, or concerns.

We also recognize and support the necessity of meaningful research that will directly support the milksharing community and providers dedicated to serving our families. Please contact us if you would like to share your survey or research project on our network.

Anything Else?

We are always looking for ways to improve and increase the success of our network. Please email us if you would like to help in a way that is not covered here or if you have suggestions and ideas that you would like to share.
